Products » Salt Bath Rectifiers

Heatbath®/Park Metallurgical rectifiers are formulated to help maintain optimum bath operating conditions, and to aid in removing impurities which normally develop in salt baths during heat treat operations.

METHYL CHLORIDE A gas dispersed through a delivery tube from pressurized cylinders, used to maintain the neutrality of chloride based salts without adding salt or other rectifiers. Forms a minimum of sludge. Most reaction products are given off in the form of gas. Results in better bath conditions, less sludge and high degree of neutrality. Offered under the trade name NEUTRA-GAS PROCESS.

#15 RECTIFIER PELLETS (U.S. Patent) A solid pellet containing ammonium chloride which when immersed in Nu-Sal baths maintains neutrality. Forms a minimum of sludge. Immersion is best achieved in an open mesh cage. Equivalent to Methyl Chloride in rectification ability or neutrality level. Offers alternative to using gas system accessory equipment and rectification time is minimized.

#20 RECTIFIER PELLETS (U.S. Patent) A solid pellet containing ammonium chloride which maintains bath neutrality when immersed in barium chloride based neutral salts. Formulated for use with Uni-Hard® IR, Sta-Hard 17, Sta-Hard 45, High Speed 60, and High Speed 75 when used in the temperature range of 1800-2200 deg F. Similar operating principal as #15 Rectifier above.

GRAPHITE RODS 2" x 24" carbon sticks used to remove metallic particles from neutral baths operated above 1900 deg F.

MISCELLANEOUS

NEUTRA GAS PROCESS KIT Consists of a tank of methyl chloride gas, pressure regulator, needle valve, delivery tube, and the necessary piping and fittings.

PELLET RECTIFIER CAGE Wire mesh cage used for holding and immersing pellet rectifier below the surface of neutral salt baths.
